Let’s Calm those Boudoir Nerves

First, nerves are completely normal & they are present when you step out of your comfort zone. New adventures are a good thing. I have a few things that will help;

  • Opt for the in-studio tour consult or the planning appt

    I know how anxious a face to face meeting can make a person, but opting for an in-studio appointment can end up making you feel more at ease. This way you can get comfy in the studio space, ask any questions you have, see the Client Closet items, hold the artwork samples in hand, & meet your photographer in person (which is way better than the awkward me on the phone). After having their own experience, many past clients have said how much these in person meetings helped them with their anxiety.

  • Keep communication open with your photographer

    I work very hard to ensure that my clients are super prepared by the time the session day comes, but I cannot read minds (being an empath only helps so much). I encourage all of my clients to reach out to me with any & all questions they have! I love having answers & this way I can be sure that you have all the information you need.

  • Be sure to check your inbox

    This experience comes with a lot of information (i.e. see above statement of ensuring clients are super prepared) & I’ve broken it all down into less overwhelming pieces. Those pieces are emailed to you bit by bit in the time leading up to your session day. Not a fan of checking that inbox? Once you book your session, you’ll have a Client Portal made just for you! This Client Portal is your hub to all things boudoir! In the Portal, you can find every email I send you, all invoices, your contracts, all informational guides & more! You can always find the Portal link on my website menu too!

  • Trust the process + your photographer

    One of the main reasons that luxury boudoir photography is an investment is because of the extensive education I’ve gone through. I’ve spent an immeasurable amount of time learning my amazing craft, including lighting, angles, posing, capturing emotions, creating a safe open environment for my clients, creating an incredible experience & more. I understand how hard it is to trust a stranger, but I promise this experience works best when you just lean into it. You won’t believe how much confidence & self love you’ll walk away with at the end.

  • Try on the wardrobe BEFORE session day

    Yes, I have a Client Closet available, however, please do not wait until your actual session to try on the outfits you bought. It is definitely better to know beforehand.

  • Only bring outfits you love

    Please bring outfits that you love or truly want to try out for your session. If you bring something you feel somewhat “eh” in, that is exactly what you’ll feel wearing it & what you’ll sense when looking back on the images of it. That is not the experience I want for you. I want to feel badass & confident during your session & looking back on your artwork!

  • Remember your why for this experience

    This is so important. Really dig deep for your why for your boudoir experience. You’ll probably find out how much more you needed this in the first place.

  • Remember that the studio is a safe place

    I’ve made great efforts to make sure that my studio is a safe place for anyone that enters it. I know what it feels like to have your every move & choice criticized & mocked. I know what it feels like to be made small so that others can take up space. I’m also aware of how intimate & vulnerable boudoir can be. This is why I’ve created a space where my clients can feel at ease & comfortable in their own skin & just be themselves. I truly believe that everyone has a beautiful light in their soul & I want that to shine through your portraits.

    PS- The studio window is tinted to ensure more privacy during your session

Let’s fight those nerves & get to designing an amazing boudoir experience just for you! I’ll be here every step of the way!
