Mrs. B | Back to her true self!
When Mrs. B & I had our zoom chat before she booked, we talked about how many of us are often so busy that we put ourselves on the back burner. Below is how her boudoir experience brought her back to her true self & gave her back her confidence!
What made you choose Boudoir By Kayla for your boudoir experience?
I was referred to her by my best friend and her sister. After looking at her Instagram and website, I knew the experience I was going to have with her was going to be out of this world. During the first few minutes of my zoom call, I was HOOKED and there wasn't a doubt in my mind that this would be incredible.
What was your favorite part(s) of your experience?
My entire experience from start to finish was my favorite. I'll list my favorite parts but that does NOT exclude every little thing in between though!
*The website is TOP NOTCH. It is so professionally done and is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Gorgeous! Easy to navigate! Any and all information I could ask for was right at my fingertips!
*The pictures from quality to lighting to poses to variety of sets are flawless. There is something in there for everyone to match all comfort levels! The pictures left me wanting more!
*The one-on-one personalized experience. It was all catered towards ME and MY experience, not meshing someone else's to mine. There are multiple avenues of communication and Kayla makes sure to take all the time I needed to get all my questions answered.
*The knowledge and information I received via email was comforting and extremely helpful especially since I knew VERY little about boudoir photography sessions. If I had a question, she had the answer. I really and truly did not have to do anything except show up. Kayla takes care of EVERYTHING.
*Last but certainly not least, my MOST favorite part of all was KAYLA. She is the most real, down to earth, and personable person I've ever met in my life. She is approachable and so easy to talk to. You can feel the energy she puts out into the world in your soul as soon as you are in her presence. She is passionate and absolutely loves what she does. I felt comfortable with her INSTANTLY and she took what would normally be an uncomfortable experience and turned it into the most incredible experience of my life.
What were you nervous about before your session?
I was nervous about finding someone that I would be comfortable doing this type of photography with. I was nervous I wouldn't know what to do or what to expect. I was nervous about forgetting something because #mombrain.
After my initial zoom call with Kayla, I knew I could trust her. I felt comfortable with her. After receiving the emails and seeing all the information and knowledge she had to share, I knew I could let go and have her take control. She gave me the information I needed so I was never left in the dark. I was as prepared as I could be for the session because of all the tips and tricks Kayla sent my way but I still forgot something at home. She had exactly what I needed in her studio so nothing fell through!!
What are you taking away from your boudoir experience?
I have not felt more my true self than I did on the day of my session in a very long time. After becoming a wife and a mama (twice), I lost myself in those life titles. I've spent the last few years breaking generational cycles and curses that were haunting me. I've been on a healing journey to discover who I am instead of just being a mom, a wife, and who others told me I was.
I wasn't sure if this was something I was brave enough to do. I wasn't sure if I was ready enough or if I needed to wait until the "right time". The first conversation I had with Kayla let me know I was ready. She comforted me and made it easy to trust her. She helped me build up the confidence I needed.
At first I thought this was going to be a gift to my husband to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. It turned into being a gift for myself which he gets to benefit from. This was so much more about me (for once) than I ever thought it would be and I didn't feel guilty about it for a second!
What advice would you give someone who is hesitant about to book their own boudoir experience?
Two words: DO. IT. What do you have to lose? You have so much you can gain from this experience that it is worth whatever "risk" you think you're taking.
I never, in a million years, saw myself doing something like this but now I am forever grateful that I did. This was more than just a photography session. This was a lifetime experience. This is something so incredible that it's hard to put into words.
