Ms. C’s Boudoir Experience
I get to meet so many beautiful souls while doing what I love, but having Ms. C in the studio was extraordinary. Ms. C wanted to capture her body before she has breast reduction surgery later this year. We worked together in creating the perfect boudoir experience for her, which included some of her romance novel collection & adding on the Shower Set! She told me at her Reveal that this was a huge milestone in her life & I am so honored to have been a part of that! Thank you Ms. C for the work that you do in the world & for being you!

I wish I could hand write a letter (because we all need a stack of kindness on our desks to remind us of how important and meaningful our work is on <those> days) but for now, I simply must tell you this:
Kayla,
Today was a dream.
You created a warm, affirmation heavy space of feminine power to let me be my most selfy-self. Thank you for journeying with me to celebrate my body and femininity. I felt so empowered to be my authentic me which from our many conversations today you know how I struggle with living this out in a way that aligns with my roles. Thank you for all of it. I do not doubt the images will be exciting to see, but for me, today was enough. I’m grounded in who I am and fully felt that expressed today.
Kayla, you have a gift for joy and journeying alongside that is irrepressible. I am so appreciate for your gifts, artistic sure, but also as a compassionate support that is deeply felt and welcomed vulnerability to feel what I felt. You’re doing important work for women who need this experience of self love and acceptance.

What made you choose Boudoir By Kayla for your boudoir experience?
I looked at the websites of every boudoir studio in North Carolina and chose Kayla for her style which highlighted the individual beauty of each of her clients. Her galleries showed the celebration of the female body over stylized or idealized looks. I wanted to recognize myself in every shot and she crushed it!
What was your favorite part(s) of your experience?
The empowering celebration I felt in my own skin. This was a milestone moment for me before a breast reduction and Kayla helped to capture what I love about my body in a way that felt recognizable and joyful. It was a freeing experience of radical self love. I walked through all kinds of emotions during the shoot as we shared time of glamorous pampering, deep laughter, wildly sexy, to full acceptance. Kayla is the hype girl you want in your corner to bring out your best and most authentic self. The pictures speak for her gift at drawing personality out.
What were you nervous about before your session?
Not nervous- which I hear is unusual. I came into this time with a gravity of the personal importance. This was my one shot at capturing my body as it is now and Kayla blew me away in a uniquely therapeutic way. I would not call it nerves, but I had desired outcomes and communicating with Kayla ahead of time helped me be prepared and ready for a life changing day.
What are you taking away from your boudoir experience?
A sexy as shit appreciation for my body! Boudoir is for every body and has boosted my confidence in the gift of my curves and sexiness in the face of a world that more loudly tells me otherwise.
What advice would you give someone who is hesitant about to book their own boudoir experience?
Find your why- whether is it to celebrate yourself, find confidence, mark a milestone and go for it. Come in ready to shine like the goddess you are created to be and boldly own it. Ask questions. Bring in personality. You deserve this.
